Many of you have asked me to let you know when or if I would be putting together another trip to Africa! That time has arrived, and I want to share the information so you can consider whether you’d like to join the small group forming for a May 2027 trip.
You are warmly invited to join a luxury journey through some of Southern Africa’s most breathtaking landscapes. This carefully curated experience is designed for travelers who appreciate exceptional accommodations, seamless service, meaningful exploration, and the rare pleasure of sharing unforgettable moments with a select group of fellow guests.
Our adventure will begin in magnificent Victoria Falls, where the Zambezi River plunges into a dramatic gorge in one of the world’s most awe-inspiring natural spectacles. We’ll connect with our Expedition Leader here, who will serve as our guide and host and be with us 24/7 until our departure.
Guests will have time to take in the power and beauty of the Falls, enjoy refined riverfront hospitality, and consider optional experiences such as a sunset cruise on the Zambezi, a scenic flight, or guided cultural and nature excursions. Our stay in Victoria Falls will be at the world-famous Elephant Camp, where we can visit with the camp’s residents! Here is a description of the Victoria Falls part of the trip!
We will depart Victoria Falls and journey to the Okavango Delta in Botswana, a pristine wilderness of winding channels, open floodplains, palm-fringed islands, and remarkable wildlife. Days in the Delta may include expertly guided game drives, mokoro canoe excursions when conditions allow, birdwatching, bush walks, and elegant evenings at luxury safari camps surrounded by the sights and sounds of the African wild. Our journey ends in Maun, Botswana, for departures to the US. Our safari camps on this part of the trip are unique and will include only our group. For more information about this part of the trip, please see this link:
Because this is a small-group departure, space is limited to seven people (note – there are two spaces currently available). The group size allows for a luxurious personal experience, easier conversation, attentive hosting, and a relaxed pace that balances adventure with comfort. Every detail will be arranged with care so guests can focus on the wonder of the journey rather than the logistics.
And – for those of you who are interested, there is an opportunity to trek with the gorillas in Rwanda, as either a pre- or post-trip extension. Please contact me directly for further information.
